Apex Water Treatment Plan for Closed Recirculation Systems

In theory, a closed system should require only initial treatment for corrosion control.

In practice, “closed” systems often leak because inadequate provisions for fluid expansion requires make-up on a periodic basis. This make-up dilutes corrosion protection, and actually may increase system corrosion via dissolved oxygen being introduced with the make-up fluid.

For any closed system, Apex recommends checking the condition of the heat transfer fluid at least twice annually, and determining by fluid analysis if adjustments in pH or inhibitors are warranted.

Apex Refrigeration & Boiler Co. understands water treatment and welcomes the occasion to discuss your requirements.
