Because malfunctions and mishaps can happen any time of day, our emergency service staff is always on call. While the quality of our installations helps minimize the need for maintenance and repair, no industrial refrigeration system is completely foolproof. That’s why we strive to maintain open communication and easy access for our customers long after installation is complete. We provide emergency service for ammonia refrigeration systems, process refrigeration systems, traditional HVAC equipment, domestic hot water boilers, steam boilers and process heating equipment.

Making Ice in the Desert
When a Gilbert-based ice rink needed emergency service to avoid shutting down, Apex was tasked with replacing a water-cooled condenser for a system that operated at approximately 250 tons of refrigeration. The system piping was made of carbon steel and required each joint to be TIG-welded, and the system overhaul needed to take fewer than 12 hours to avoid the ice melting. Enter Apex. Our construction crew successfully prefabricated 90% of the piping and was able to replace the condenser — pressure-tested and fully assembled — in fewer than 12 hours total, avoiding the system shut down and keeping the ice frozen and ready to skate on.
